The New Product Introductions (NPI) Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the Gravis business through demand planning, supply analytics, reporting, and inventory optimisation. The role provides data-driven insights that improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, New Product Introductions (NPI), and decision-making across Commercial, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. Working closely with the ANZ Planning team, the analyst will maintain planning models, develop reporting and dashboards, support the S&OP process, and identify opportunities to improve planning capability through analytics and continuous improvement.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales, customer insights, and market intelligence.
- Support the monthly S&OP process through demand analysis, forecast reviews, and planning recommendations.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, identify demand risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Planning & Supply Analytics
- Maintain and enhance key Supply & Demand planning models to support forecasting and inventory decisions.
- Analyse demand, inventory, service levels, and supply performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support scenario modelling and business analysis to evaluate forecast, supply, and inventory impacts.
Customer & Commercial Insights
- Support the weekly Gravis customer forecast validation process and consolidate customer feedback.
- Collate and communicate key supply, demand, and market insights through weekly reports and planning updates.
- Develop reporting that improves visibility of customer demand, inventory, and sales performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting across sales, inventory, customer demand, forecast performance, and service levels.
- Ensure planning reports are accurate, timely, and support business decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity across planning systems, reports, and analytical models.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Provide analytical support for New Product Introductions, including demand planning, launch tracking, inventory monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Support planning assumptions and supply readiness for new product launches. Stakeholder Collaboration
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, and Demand Planning teams to improve planning alignment.
- Support cross-functional planning initiatives and provide analytical recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve planning processes, and enhance forecasting capability.
- Support strategic initiatives across CPFR, S&OP, inventory optimization, and planning transformation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE
SKILLS
Planning & Analytics:
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management, supply chain planning, and performance reporting principles.
- Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and scenario modelling.
- Understanding of forecast accuracy measures, service level performance, inventory metrics, and planning KPIs.
- Knowledge of S&OP, demand review, and integrated business planning processes.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modelling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or similar platforms.
- Experience working with ERP, planning, and reporting systems; SAP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience is desirable.
- Strong capability in data extraction, validation, reporting automation, and dashboard development.

- Ability to communicate complex data and analytical insights in a clear and practical manner.

EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years' experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Inventory Planning, or a similar analytical role.
- Experience supporting forecasting, inventory management, sales and operations planning (S&OP), or customer demand planning processes.Experience analyzing large data sets and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience developing and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and analytical models to support operational or commercial decision-making.
- Experience working within cross-functional environments, partnering with Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
- Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI), product launches, or portfolio changes is advantageous.
- Experience within manufacturing, building products, FMCG, consumer goods, industrial products, or related industries is desirable.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Qualifications or professional development in Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, Analytics, or business intelligence are advantageous.
