Job summary

Emapta is seeking a Pre-Op Coordinator to streamline preoperative processes for a renowned neurosurgery service. You will oversee authorizations, clearances, and scheduling to ensure on-time case preparation and optimal patient care.

Based onsite in Alabang, you will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, manage medical documentation in EMR systems, and uphold regulatory standards while delivering compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as Preoperative Coordinator or similar role.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
• Experience coordinating preoperative requirements and authorizations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, Google Calendar and EMR systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all preoperative requirements from initial coordination to final clearance.
• Submit and monitor authorizations for preoperative and surgical procedures.
• Contact patients to schedule preop appointments and provide instructions.
• Send reminders for procedures, lab tests, and clearances.
• Coordinate with provider offices to obtain preoperative clearances and notes.
• Follow up to ensure documentation is completed within timelines.
• Upload preoperative clearances to surgical facilities.
• Collaborate with Surgery Coordinator to ensure cases are ready to proceed.
