Job summary

CF Solutions Philippines Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Surgical Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures, from scheduling to pre-operative clearances.

The role requires accurate patient data verification, insurance checks, and timely communications with patients and providers. You will work with surgeons, hospitals, and anesthesia teams to secure operating room time, ensure documentation and authorizations are in place, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records in the EMR

Qualifications

• College Graduate of any four-year course.
• 1–2 years of medical scheduling, surgical scheduling, or healthcare administrative experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures in accordance with physician, facility, and patient availability.
• Coordinate with surgeons, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and anesthesia providers to secure operating room time.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and required documentation.
• Obtain and track prior authorizations and referrals when necessary.
• Ensure all pre-operative testing, clearances, and required paperwork are completed before surgery dates.
• Communicate surgery details, preparation instructions, and appointment information to patients.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Reschedule procedures as needed and communicate changes promptly to all parties involved.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries related to surgery scheduling.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies regarding patient confidentiality.
