Job summary

HS Financial Technologies is seeking a Fund Accounting Director to lead NAV processes, provide strategic direction to fund accounting teams, and drive enhancements in systems and procedures. You will oversee complex accounting topics, client requests, and transition of new clients to the HS platform.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in hedge fund administration, with leadership experience, and strong communication, analytical, and process knowledge. Hybrid work arrangements are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years experience with a Hedge Fund Administrator, at least 3 in a Manager role.
• IT literate with strong technical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client meetings, presenting HS Financial Technologies solutions.
• Lead and collaborate with a team of managers and directors on services.
• Own NAV process responsibilities including fee calculations and P&L allocations.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to fund accounting teams.
• Manage multiple internal and external relationships.
• Maintain a clearly defined control environment.
• Develop and enhance workflows and procedures.
• Resolve complex issues and lead special projects.
• Recruit and evaluate fund accounting staff.
• Address HR-related employee issues with MD group.
• Prepare and review financial and regulatory reports.
• Maintain client broker, auditor, and legal relationships.
• Oversee transitions of new clients to the platform.
• Coordinate with Investor Services, QA, BD, Operations, Compliance.
• Hybrid work arrangement: some office and home time.
