Job summary

BekaertDeslee Holding is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to coordinate, optimize, and oversee import/export activities for the North America region. You will manage shipments, ensure customs clearance, monitor deliveries, and maintain accurate documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ERP and BI systems.
• Excel proficiency (intermediate to advanced).
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, optimize, and oversee imports/exports in North America.
• Coordinate international shipments (FTL/LTL/FCL/LCL) and multimodal transport.
• Ensure timely customs clearance and monitor on-time deliveries.
• Communicate shipment status and resolve issues during transit.
• Verify shipment documentation accuracy.
• Manage relationships with carriers and 3PLs.
• Prepare KPI reports and propose corrective actions.
• Develop SOPs and drive process improvements to reduce lead times and costs.
• Coordinate insurance claims when applicable.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, International Trade, and Finance.
• Review supplier invoices and monitor payment status.
• Process payments to shipping lines and logistics operators for U.S. shipments.
