Job summary

BDO Network Bank in the Philippines is seeking an Account Officer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to drive loan volume while maintaining profitability and sound credit quality. The role emphasizes field visits and strong customer service in a community banking context.

The incumbent will solicit MSME loan accounts through on-site fieldwork, assess applicant qualifications, and coordinate processing and collections to support a healthy loan book.

Qualifications

• Must-have skills include selling, strong communication, and customer service excellence.
• Ability to operate on field visits and work on-site almost daily.
• Basic math skills and comfort with using word processing & spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts by field visits to meet business needs.
• Analyze overall loan applicant qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Initiate credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts.
• Coordinate with officers and units related to processing and servicing loan applications and clients.
• Review and update customer loan files and agreements to ensure adequacy for credit processing and booking.
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities to achieve volume targets.
