Job summary

APW Tech is seeking a Mid-Level IT Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology solutions. You will work with stakeholders, PMs, and developers to gather requirements, model processes, and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives.

You will document BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborate on solution design, and support testing and UAT to ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a BA/IT BA/Systems Analyst or related role.
• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mid-Level IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, development teams, and business users to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver technology solutions that support organizational objectives.

The IT Business Analyst will play a key role in identifying opportunities for process improvement, documenting business requirements, and ensuring successful implementation of IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs, goals, and challenges.

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.

• Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements.

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.

• Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and business requirement documents (BRDs).

Solution Design & Project Support

• Work with technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system solutions.

• Participate in solution design discussions and provide business insights.

• Assist in evaluating system capabilities, limitations, and potential enhancements.

• Support project planning, implementation, and change management activities.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Validate delivered solutions against business requirements.

• Track and resolve requirement-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the liaison between business users and IT teams.

• Facilitate communication and ensure alignment among stakeholders.

• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

• Support training and user adoption efforts during solution implementation.

Process Improvement

• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.

• Recommend innovative technology solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business and IT functions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role.

• Experience working on software development, system implementation, or digital transformation projects.

• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience with requirements management and documentation tools.

• Knowledge of business process modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with SQL, databases, APIs, and system integrations is an advantage.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.
