Job summary

SM Retail, Inc. - Corporate is seeking an IT Business Analyst – Digital Solutions who can connect business needs with technology solutions and help turn ideas into practical, user-friendly digital products.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, QA, and UI/UX teams to understand challenges, define requirements, and support delivery from discovery through testing and implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Delivery, IT Solution Delivery, or related role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional requirements.
• Experience with digital platforms, mobile apps, CRM, loyalty platforms, or enterprise applications is a plus.

• Analyze business processes, pain points, and opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain BRD, RSD, process flows, and user stories documentation.
• Develop Gherkin scenarios and acceptance criteria for QA validation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, UI/UX Designers, and other technology teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst – Digital Solutions who can connect business needs with technology solutions and help turn ideas into practical, user-friendly digital products.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, QA, and UI/UX teams to understand business challenges, define requirements, and support the delivery of technology solutions from discovery through testing and implementation.

You will play a key role in making sure that business requirements are clearly understood, properly documented, and translated into solutions that deliver real business value.

What You’ll Do

• Lead requirements gathering and discovery sessions with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives.

• Analyze business processes, pain points, and opportunities and identify areas where technology can improve efficiency and user experience.

• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Prepare and maintain key project documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Requirements Specifications Documents (RSD), process flows, and user stories.

• Develop Gherkin scenarios and acceptance criteria to help QA teams validate system functionality.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, UI/UX Designers, and other technology teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
