Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a microfinance loan officer in the Cebu area to drive loan volume while maintaining quality and profitability. You will assess applicants, process loans, perform collections when needed, and maintain service excellence for clients.

The role requires basic math skills, strong selling and communication abilities, integrity, and familiarity with MS Word/Excel; motorcycle driving is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 year degree course.
• Demonstrates strong selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Possesses basic mathematical knowledge.
• Shows high integrity.
• Familiar with computer software including word processing & spreadsheets.
• Experience in Microfinance sales is an advantage.
• Preferably can drive a motorcycle.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet the business needs of the customer.
• Analyze overall loan applicant's qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Initiates credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts.
• Coordinates with concerned officers and/or other units related to processing and servicing of loan applications and loan clients.
• Ensures adherence to the bank's policies and procedures.
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities that will achieve volume targets.
• Attends to inquiries and other requirements of the clients.
• Review and update customer loan files, loan agreements, etc. to ensure adequacy for credit processing and loan booking.
• Perform other functions that may be assigned to him/her
