Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a motivated Microfinance Loan Officer to help achieve loan volume targets while maintaining profitability and sound credit quality. You will deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships in the branch.

Key duties include soliciting loan accounts, assessing applicant qualifications, initiating credit and collection actions, coordinating with units, and ensuring adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 year degree course.
• Good selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Basic mathematical knowledge required.
• High integrity and ethical standards.
• Familiar with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Sales/fieldwork experience in microfinance is an advantage.
• Preferably can drive a motorcycle.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet customer needs.
• Analyze loan applicants to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Initiates credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality.
• Coordinates with officers and units for processing and servicing loans.
• Ensures adherence to bank policies and procedures.
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities to achieve volume targets.
• Attend to inquiries and requirements of clients.
• Review/update customer loan files and loan agreements for credit processing.
• Perform other functions as assigned.
