Job summary

Baubap is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to lead and strengthen its tax function in Mexico, reporting to the CFO. This role focuses on compliance, tax risk management, and remediation, with opportunities to improve controls and automation.

Ideal candidates will have substantial experience managing Mexican tax compliance and a strong track record in audits, investigations, and working with fiscal authorities. bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing Mexican tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of ISR, IVA, payroll taxes, withholdings, CFDI requirements, and local taxes.
• Proven experience interacting with SAT and other Mexican fiscal authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal and local tax compliance, including ISR, IVA, payroll taxes, withholdings, CFDI requirements, and informational filings.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, payments, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Investigate and remediate historical tax issues, inconsistencies, and control gaps.
• Serve as Baubap’s primary internal contact with SAT and other fiscal authorities.
• Lead tax audits, reviews, investigations, disputes, and tax controversy matters.
