Geodis Philippines Inc. is seeking a diligent messenger/document custodian to support import and export operations in Manila. You will collect, stamp, and sort documents, coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, banks, and brokers to ensure timely processing.
You will handle delivery of AWBs, label cargo, monitor shipments, maintain logs, and secure proof of submission and receipts. The role requires meticulous recordkeeping and collaboration with Import, Export, Operations, Documentation,
Import Operations - the team retrieves the original consolidation pouch from Airline CFS/DHU and delivers it to the GEODIS main office for stamping and document sorting. E-manifesting and monitoring of the manifest in Intercommerce are suggested for improved tracking and validation.
Export Processing-responsibilities include handing over Air Waybills (AWBs) to designated brokers, labeling cargo at the airport warehouse, and handling documentation errands for both air and sea shipments. The processor also supports the finance team with tasks such as notarization, visits to government agencies, and banking. Cutting export AWBs in NextGen is suggested for streamlined workflow.
Together, these tasks ensure efficient handling of import and export documentation, compliance with regulatory requirements, and smooth coordination between logistics, finance, and external partners.
Collect and retrieve import shipment documents from airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, terminals, and other relevant parties. Deliver the documents to GEODIS PH main office for stamping and document sorting.
Coordinate the submission and collection of documents required for import cargo release from airports, seaports, and terminals. Process payments and transactions related to customs duties, terminal charges, storage, handling, and other shipment-related payment, when instructed.
Deliver and collect original documents fromshipping lines, airlines, and other relevant parties. Ensure all import documents are properly received, acknowledged, and returned to the appropriate department.
Collect and deliver export shipment documents and cargo-related paperwork from customers, suppliers, warehouses, and other relevant parties. Facilitate the submission of documents required for cargo acceptance, booking confirmation, loading, and shipment departure.
Collect and deliver original export documents toagents, banks, and other concerned parties, when required. Process payments and transactions related to export documentation, terminal, handling, and other shipment-related charges, when instructed.
Ensure all export documents are properly submitted, received, acknowledged, and returned to the appropriate department.
Perform bank related actions, bank cheques, collections, and other authorized financial transactions - when instructed.
Maintain a proper log of all documents and items collected, submitted, and delivered.
Secure proof of submission, acknowledgment receipts, and receiving copies for all important documents. Ensure the safe and timely handling of confidential, original, and shipment-related documents. Coordinate closely with the Import, Export, Operations, Documentation, Customs, Finance, and Customer Service teams. Perform other logistics, administrative, and messenger duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
