About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Butcher/Chicken Cutter to join our team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Bucandala I, Imus City, Cavite. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our retail operations, ensuring that our meat and poultry products are expertly prepared, presented, and merchandised to meet the highest standards of quality and food safety. Your expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction and drive sales across our fresh meat department.

Key responsibilities

• Butcher, trim, and cut fresh meat and poultry products according to established standards and customer specifications

• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety protocols whilst handling and processing all meat products

• Merchandise and display meat and poultry items attractively to maximise visual appeal and encourage customer purchases

• Price products accurately and ensure all pricing information is clearly displayed and updated

• Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment and tools safely and efficiently

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements to management

• Package products using appropriate wrapping materials and labelling techniques

• Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth retail operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a butcher, chicken cutter, or in a similar meat preparation role within a retail environment

• Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques, animal anatomy, and proper handling procedures

• Proficiency in using butcher's tools and meat processing equipment safely and effectively

• Sound understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards

• Excellent merchandising skills with the ability to create attractive product displays

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards

• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Relevant certifications in food handling or meat cutting are preferred
