About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Merchandiser/Meat Cutter to join the ART Fresh team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Meycauayan City, Bulacan. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, displaying, and merchandising fresh meat products whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers have access to premium quality meat products, presented attractively and professionally at all times. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in retail meat preparation and product merchandising within a dynamic retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cut fresh meat products including beef, pork, and poultry to customer specifications and company standards

• Display and arrange meat products in refrigerated cases and shelving using attractive merchandising techniques to maximise visual appeal and sales

• Maintain accurate pricing and ensure all product labels are clearly visible and up-to-date

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements to management to ensure adequate supply of fresh products

• Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment, slicing machines, and display cases in accordance with safety protocols

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times

• Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding meat quality and preparation methods

• Rotate stock using the first-in-first-out method and remove expired or damaged products from display

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces

• Support the wider retail team to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a meat cutter or butcher, or equivalent experience in a retail meat department

• Proficiency in operating meat cutting equipment, slicing machines, and related tools safely and effectively

• Strong knowledge of different meat cuts, grades, and quality standards

• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations and best practices

• Skilled in product merchandising and visual display techniques

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards

• Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets whilst maintaining quality

• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift and handle heavy items

• Reliability and punctuality with a professional attitude towards work

• Certification in food safety or meat preparation is preferred
