Qualifications

• Experience as butcher, chicken cutter, or similar meat prep role in retail or food service.
• Knowledge of meat cuts, grades and preparation techniques.
• Proficiency with butchery equipment and safety.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under peak trading hours.
• Strong customer service and clear communication.
• Physical stamina to stand long hours and lift heavy items.
• Attention to detail and high standards of product quality.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn company procedures and systems.
• Certifications in food safety or meat preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare fresh poultry and meat according to standards.
• Operate slicers, bone saws and other equipment safely.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation per regulations.
• Display and merchandise products to maximise sales.
• Weigh and price items using POS.
• Assist customers with orders and recommendations.
• Monitor stock and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Keep work area clean and organised.
• Follow all food safety protocols and procedures.
• Support team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
