Job summary

TVS Motor Company in the Philippines seeks a Master Technician to bridge dealer networks, TSO, and TVS India Engineering for early issue detection and resolution. You will diagnose, escalate, and coordinate field fixes across EV and ICE systems, while supporting training and product feedback loops.

Requirements include 5–8 years in automotive service, a Diploma/degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical Engineering, and strong troubleshooting and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in automotive service / technical diagnostics.
• Strong experience in EV + ICE systems, field diagnostics, and dealer technical support.

Responsibilities

• Field Issue Management: visit dealers with TSO team to identify technical issues and classify them as critical, repetitive or minor.
• Technical Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis: perform inspections and failure analysis using standard tools.
• Coordination with India Engineering Team: prepare structured reports and coordinate with TVS India R&D / Quality for product improvements and track escalated cases till closure.
• Dealer & TSO Technical Support: support TSOs in resolving complex field issues and ensure field fixes/service advisories are implemented.
• Training & Capability Building: conduct hands-on training sessions focused on new models and common failure areas.
• Product Improvement Feedback Loop: identify recurring defects and share feedback to India team for design changes and process improvements.

Job description

The Master Technician shall act as a technical bridge between Dealer Network, TSO Team, and TVS India Engineering, ensuring early detection, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution of product-related issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Field Issue Management

Visit dealers along with TSO team to identify technical issues

Collect and analyse complaints related to:

• Engine / EV systems
• Electrical & electronics
• Fitment / assembly issues

Classify issues into critical / repetitive / minor categories

2. Technical Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis

• Perform detailed inspections on defective vehicles
• Conduct failure analysis using standard tools and methods

3. Coordination with India Engineering Team

Prepare structured reports including:

Coordinate with TVS India R&D / Quality teams for:

• Technical clarifications & Product improvement actions
• Track all escalated cases till closure

4. Dealer & TSO Technical Support

• Support TSOs in resolving complex field issues
• Ensure implementation of field fixes / service advisories

5. Training & Capability Building

• Conduct hands-on training sessions for:
• Focus areas: New models (EV + ICE, 2W & 3W) , Frequent failure areas, best diagnostic practices

6. Product Improvement Feedback Loop

• Identify recurring defects and trends
• Share structured feedback to India team
• Support implementation of: Design changes , Process improvements ,Service updates

Qualifications

Education :Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering

Experience

5–8 years in automotive service / technical diagnostics

Strong experience in:

• EV + ICE systems
• Field diagnostics
• Dealer technical support
