Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking a Product Safety & Compliance Specialist to ensure Woolworths MarketPlus delivers safe, compliant, high-quality products to customers across the marketplace.

The role focuses on onboarding compliance, regulatory adherence, and risk management, collaborating with legal, engineering, and operations to protect customers and the brand in a fast-moving, cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Product Safety, Australian Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance.
• End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management experience.
• Stakeholder and cross-functional team engagement.
• Policy development and change management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement the overall vision and strategy for product safety and compliance across the marketplace in partnership with the Manager.
• Ensure onboarding processes for all sellers meet product safety and regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: implement, manage policies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Policy & Governance: establish marketplace policies to address hazards and maintain compliance.
• Risk Management: use data to identify and prevent fraudulent activity, counterfeit goods, and unsafe listings.
• Incident Response: investigate and resolve complex integrity issues including recalls and IP claims.
• Seller Engagement & Education: create resources to help sellers understand compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with product, engineering, data, and operations.
• Performance Reporting: report KPIs and risk metrics weekly and monthly.
