Job summary

PM Consulting is seeking a Business Development Manager – Insurance for Maritime to drive growth by securing and managing corporate accounts in the maritime sector. You will target shipping companies, vessel owners, manning agencies, and logistics providers with marine insurance solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance corporate sales, a strong maritime insurance knowledge base, and a proven ability to build relationships and close multi-year programs on-site in Makati.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Maritime Studies or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, or Account Management within an insurance company.
• Direct experience selling insurance products to corporate maritime companies.
• Strong knowledge of marine insurance products and corporate insurance solutions.
• Experience handling corporate accounts in shipping, logistics, marine transportation, or maritime industries.
• Proven track record in new business acquisition and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Existing network within the maritime industry is a strong advantage.
• Willing to work on-site in Makati City.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the maritime insurance portfolio.
• Identify, acquire, and manage corporate clients within the maritime industry.
• Promote and sell insurance solutions to shipping companies, vessel owners, operators, manning agencies, freight forwarders, logistics companies, and other maritime organizations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, brokers, and industry partners.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and risk assessments to recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate insurance programs with prospective and existing clients.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor industry trends and identify new business opportunities within the maritime sector.
• Consistently achieve business development and revenue targets.
