GMS BPO Inc. seeks an experienced Manager - Risk & Compliance to lead assigned compliance areas for an Australian-regulated business from the Philippines. You will own controls, monitoring, and governance while partnering with Operations, Sales, and Product teams to drive compliant outcomes.
The role requires 6–9 years in compliance and a law/commerce/finance/business background, with strong English communication and stakeholder management. Overlap with Australian hours is expected.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manager - Risk & Compliance to take ownership of assigned areas of CIMET's compliance responsibilities and ensure obligations, controls, monitoring activities, and evidence standards are maintained to withstand external scrutiny. Reporting to the General Manager - Compliance, you will partner with operational and commercial teams while providing hands‑on compliance leadership across a fast-growing Australian-regulated business.
Key responsibilities
Own and manage assigned areas of compliance responsibility.
Maintain compliance registers, controls, evidence, and governance documentation.
Develop and execute monitoring, assurance, audit, and control-testing activities.
Identify, investigate, and investigate incidents, complaints, customer harm, and potential breaches.
Partner with Operations, Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Technology teams to support compliant business outcomes.
Track remediation activities and ensure findings are resolved effectively.
Support compliance reporting, risk assessments, and regulatory obligations management.
Coach and support Compliance Analysts as assigned.
About you
6-9 years' experience in Compliance, Risk, Governance, Audit, Controls, or related disciplines.
Experience within regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, telecommunications, energy, lending, or similar consumer-facing environments.
Proven ownership of compliance controls, registers, evidence, monitoring, or assurance programs.
Experience with complaints, incidents, breach management, or regulatory reporting.
Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to influence decisions and hold positions under commercial pressure.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
Availability to work with overlap to Australian business hours.
