Job summary

CIMET Group is seeking a Senior Manager - Risk & Compliance to lead the compliance function and act as deputy to the General Manager. You will manage compliance managers and analysts, drive risk assessment, and ensure readiness for audits, regulatory reviews, and partner evaluations in a high-growth international environment.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to shape controls, monitoring programs, and evidence standards while collaborating

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Governance, Audit, or related disciplines.
• Experience in regulated consumer-facing industries or similar sectors.
• Proven experience leading teams and ensuring quality of compliance outputs.
• Experience developing or managing compliance controls and monitoring programs.

• Manage incidents, complaints, breaches, and remediation activities
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Partnerships, Product, Technology, and Customer Service teams
• Represent CIMET with Australian stakeholders, partners, and compliance teams

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Risk & Compliance to play a key leadership role within our expanding Compliance function. Reporting to the General Manager - Compliance, you will act as their deputy while leading assigned areas of compliance responsibility, managing compliance managers and analysts, driving risk assessment and monitoring activities, and ensuring the business remains prepared for regulatory scrutiny, audits, and partner reviews. This is a hands-on leadership role for a compliance professional who has successfully operated within regulated consumer-facing industries and is looking to broaden their impact in a high-growth international environment.

About you

• Experience within regulated consumer-facing industries such as financial services, insurance, energy, telecommunications, lending, or similar sectors
• Proven experience leading compliance teams and managing the quality of compliance outputs
• Experience developing or managing compliance controls, monitoring programs, testing frameworks, and evidence standards
• Strong risk assessment, incident management, and breach management experience
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and challenge decisions when necessary
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline
• Availability to work with overlap to Australian business hours
