Job summary

ALPLA Philippines Inc. seeks a maintenance technician to install, commission, and maintain mechanical and electrical machine parts in our Laguna facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and monitor operations to keep equipment running at optimum capacity.

The role requires knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP, and 5S, plus safety discipline. English proficiency and strong communication help you collaborate across teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of both mechanical and electrical technology.
• Basic office software skills; able to learn maintenance software for data entry.
• Knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP, 5S and Safety requirements.
• Strong communication skills (interpersonal and intrapersonal).
• Fluent in spoken and understood English.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain mechanical and electrical parts of machines.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and monitor machine operations.
• Test or modify developmental or operational electrical machinery or control equipment.
• Ensure machines run at optimum capacity with reduced downtime.
• Troubleshoot alarms, molds, sensors, filters, and fasteners.
• Participate in EBM, ISBM and IM-cap change over work activity.
• Check machine and periphery equipment conditions.
• Record hourly production output, waste, downtime, and reasons for downtime.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis for downtimes and quality issues.
• Weigh scraps, encode into ALPLA Waste system, label waste containers.
• Observe Safety, 5S and GMP in production areas.
• Fully complies with Food Safety standards and ISO standards.

Job description

1. Install, commission, and maintain the mechanical and electrical parts of machines.

2. Perform machine troubleshooting, adjustment, repair and maintenance, and monitor the operational state of all the machines.

3. Test or modify developmental or operational electrical machinery or electrical control equipment.

4. Ensure that all the machines are running to its optimum capacity with reduced downtime.

5. Trouble shooting and repairs (e.g. resetting of alarm, clogged caps / bottles, clean sensor, clean mold, clean water and air filters, tighten loose screws and bolts of mold, handling parts).

6.Participates in EBM, ISBM and IM-cap change over work activity.

7. Checks machine and periphery equipment conditions.

8. Records hourly production output, waste, downtime, and reasons for downtime.

9. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to machine downtimes and quality issues .

10. Weighs scraps, encodes into ALPLA Waste system, labels the waste containers.

11. Observes Safety, 5S and GMP in production areas.

12. Fully complies with Food Safety standards and ensures observance of ISO standards in all related tasks and responsibilities.

• Knowledge and background in ISO, GMP, HACCP, 5S and Safety are needed
