The Engineering and Maintenance Head is responsible for leading all plant engineering, maintenance, and environmental management activities to ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable operations in a food manufacturing environment. This role oversees equipment upkeep, utilities management, facility improvement projects, and environmental compliance while ensuring adherence to food safety, occupational health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and improvement of machinery, utilities, and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with food safety, DOLE-OSH, DENR/EMB, and other regulatory standards.
Manage engineering budgets, spare parts inventory, and cost control initiatives.
Drive energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction projects to support environmental sustainability goals.
Ensure proper operation and monitoring of environmental systems (e.g., wastewater treatment, emissions control, waste management).
Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance and engineering staff.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment and environmental issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
Licensed Engineer preferred.
At least 3-5 years’ experience in engineering/maintenance leadership roles (food manufacturing/FMCG preferred).
Certification as a Safety Officer (SO2 or higher) and/or Pollution Control Officer (PCO) an advantage.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance (DENR/EMB standards).
Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Technical expertise in plant equipment, utilities, and facility management.
Knowledge of food safety, OSH, and environmental compliance standards.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Effective leadership and team management.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Plant-based role in a 24/7 operation.
Requires flexibility to respond to emergencies, breakdowns, and environmental incidents.
