Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety Officer / Maintenance Engineer position is responsible to perform a full spectrum of safety services including but not limited to inspecting work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, and government standard safety policies and regulations. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. He will also extend his time to work with Production Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(The listed duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following key areas and performance indicators)

Environment, Occupational Health and Safety

• Promote workplace safety and healthy work practices

• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard assessments

• Ensure compliance with company policies and government safety regulations

• Monitor the proper use of PPE and safety equipment

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions

• Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documents

• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and safety trainings

• Coordinate emergency response procedures and fire safety activities

• Monitor environmental compliance, pollution control facilities, and air quality standards

• Prepare reports related to safety, environmental, and health programs

Facilities and Maintenance

• Maintain and inspect fire safety equipment and security hardware

• Support facility upkeep including repairs, maintenance, and housekeeping concerns

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities

• Monitor machine conditions and coordinate production-related concerns

• Ensure machines and work areas are properly maintained and cleaned

• Assist in maintaining safe and efficient production operations

Administrative and Operational Duties

• Prepare reports, logs, and official safety documentation

• Conduct safety audits and workplace monitoring activities

• Assist during emergency, rescue, or firefighting operations when necessary

• Coordinate with Production, Logistics, HR, and other departments

• Perform other duties assigned by management

• The effective performance of the position requires that harmonious and productive working relationships are developed and maintained throughout different department and across the professional and administrative structure of the Company, and with external stakeholders. This position’s internal rapport should include: Production, Logistics, Back Office Team, and HR.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• This position requires to have at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering

• At least have two (2) year experience as Safety Officer or any related field.

• BOSH certified is a plus.

• Ability to use Technology

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff are essential to successfully carry out the duties of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

• Travel: Travel may require for this position if there is a need to check with the satellite branches is in need.
