Job summary

CHINT NEW ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PHILIPPINES INC. seeks an experienced HSE professional to lead O&M safety initiatives across site operations, ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.

You will develop and maintain safety programs, perform risk assessments and investigations, conduct trainings, and coordinate with contractors to uphold a proactive safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Develop, implement, and maintain O&M safety programs, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct JSA/JHA, risk assessments, and hazard identification for operation and maintenance activities.
• Monitor PTW, LOTO, confined space, working at height, hot work, and electrical safety.
• Perform regular site safety inspections, audits, and observations with corrective actions.
• Review maintenance work plans and risk assessments from a safety perspective.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; identify root causes.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, evacuations, and response activities.
• Ensure proper use and availability of PPE, safety equipment, fire protection, and emergency gear.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training, and awareness programs for staff.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident statistics, and corrective actions.
• Assist management to ensure compliance with local occupational safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) and review safety implications of modifications.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement within operations.

• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA), risk assessments, and hazard identification for operation and maintenance activities.

• Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, working at height, hot work, and electrical safety requirements.

• Perform regular site safety inspections, audits, and observations and recommend corrective actions.

• Review maintenance work plans, method statements, and risk assessments from a safety perspective.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.

• Support emergency preparedness, drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response activities.

• Ensure proper use and availability of PPE, safety equipment, fire protection systems, and emergency equipment.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with company HSE requirements.

• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident statistics, and corrective-action tracking.

• Assist management in ensuring compliance with local occupational safety and environmental regulations and applicable international standards.

• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) and review safety implications of modifications to equipment, processes, and facilities.

• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement within operations and maintenance teams.
