DHL Supply Chain Phils., Inc. seeks a qualified Safety and Facilities Officer to lead safety programs and maintain compliant facility operations at our Davao site.
You will develop policies, conduct inspections, deliver training, manage budgets, coordinate maintenance, and liaise with regulators to uphold a proactive safety culture and reliable site performance.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Providing comprehensive safety training and education to all employees
Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Maintaining comprehensive safety records and documentation
Collaborating with management to continuously improve safety performance and promote a proactive safety culture
Representing the company in regulatory audits and inspections
Manage the overall facilities and building operations, including maintenance, repairs, and project coordination
Liaise with third-party service providers to schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
Ensure the facility is compliant with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage the facility's budget and procurement processes
Assist in the planning and implementation of facility improvement projects
Provide regular reports on the facility's operations and maintenance activities
Foster a positive work environment and collaborate with the broader site team
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the manufacturing, logistics, or transportation industry
Thorough understanding of relevant health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address safety issues
Proficient in the use of safety-related software and data analysis tools
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, Engineering, or a related field
Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) or OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
Relevant experience in facilities management or a related field, preferably within the Real Estate & Property industry
Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and project management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
Proficient in using facility management software and Microsoft Office applications
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address facility-related issues
A collaborative, customer-focused approach to support the overall site operations
Well-versed in LLDA document processing and permits, and has a brief background in (ESD)
