Role Overview
As a Logistics Coordinator (LC), you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring and management of our fleet, drivers, and safety compliance. This role is less about administrative coordination and more about active operational monitoring to ensure our trucks remain on schedule, our drivers remain safe, and our temperature-sensitive cargo stays within required limits. You will act as the primary point of contact for driver support, incident triage, and stakeholder communication during critical night-time operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet & Driver Monitoring
- Utilize GPS tracking (Teletrac Navman 360) to maintain real-time visibility of all fleet vehicles.
- Monitor driver fatigue risk via Guardian alerts and ensure adherence to regulated work/rest hours.
- Track and action speed events based on configurable thresholds (e.g., >5 km/h over limit).
- Maintain direct contact with drivers to provide real-time alerts or instructions
2. Delivery & ETA Management
- Monitor delivery performance and dynamic ETA calculations to identify potential delays.
- Alert stakeholders regarding late departures, missed delivery windows, or unauthorized route deviations.
- Focus on service levels for key clients, specifically ensuring 7-Eleven delivery windows are met.
3. Breakdown & Incident Triage
- Intake breakdown alerts from drivers or telematics and categorize them (Category 1: Cannot be used to Category 3: Repair at next service).
- Conduct initial diagnoses through driver interviews and system data.
- Coordinate with maintenance providers, recovery services, and operations managers to track resolution progress.
4. Safety & Compliance (COR)
- Ensure all operations align with Chain of Responsibility (COR) regulations regarding fatigue and speed.
- Monitor temperature-controlled trailers using Lynx Fleet platforms to prevent product loss.
- Log all safety incidents and fatigue breaches for audit-ready reporting.
