Overview
The SCM Lead – International oversees shipment of the goods ordered internationally and ensure safe delivery on a timely manner. Duties include high-level coordination (with foreign suppliers, service providers, pertinent government offices, canvassing team and delivery sites), support on monitoring of payments to the relevant service providers, create and recommend shipment strategies, and guarantee the compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export laws.
Duties and Responsibilities

DELIVERY /SHIPMENT
- Ensure and oversee delivery in accordance to Agreed DeliveryDate and/or purchase plan
- Provide technical expertise on shipment of goods – both domesticand/or international
- Monitor the status of deliveries and payment
- Responsible on resolving delivery related-issues and concernssuch as but not limited to damages
- Ability to adjust to the needs of the department and end-usersin getting items on site in a timely and cost efficient manner
- Provide schedules, loading plans and resolution on logisticsrelated issues and urgent matters
- Assist in strategically planning, transportation, and customerservices
- Recommend options on routes and shipments
- Able to identify different shipments and payment conditions inthe domestic and international market
- Able to identify the risks in the shipment strategies proposedto the group
- Recommend consolidation strategies to the canvassing team
- Liaise between internal and external clients on the status ofthe deliveries
- Ensure all documentary requirements and licenses related toimportation of business units are complete to be able to freely move itemsfrom both domestic and international sources
- To be able to provide the company with additional savingsthrough proper shipment, consolidation, and route optimization
- Able to analyze past data/trends and be able to provide thecompany with recommendation for lesser cost
- Logistics monitoring files shall be updated on timely manner andshould be accurate at all times

IMPORTATION
- In-charge of coordination with broker,Bureau of Customs, foreign suppliers and forwarders
- Processing of importation-related documents
- Responsible in identifying regulated items
- Consolidation of loading plans
- Assessment of importation cost
- Provide a risk assessment for all possiblescenarios that may cause delay of deliveries, as well as suggestions /alternatives
- Assessment and recommendation of theapplicable insurance policies

CANVASSING – SUPPORT
- Ensures that alldocuments regarding the purchase order are received
- Assist canvassers on resolvinglogistics-related issues
- Compliance on the monitoring files relatedto buying/canvassing

SUPPLIER BASE
- To be able to maintain a healthy list ofservice providers to the group needs
- Secure accreditation requirements from newvendors and endorse the same to the accreditation committee
- Evaluates service providers for the purposeof determining their capability to serve the requirements

PURCHASE PLAN
- Participation in the conceptualizationdiscussion of the end-users to determine the delivery feasibility of therequirements and provide suggestions / alternatives

STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Understanding the nature of the business /project
- Taking part on special projects andbusiness improvement initiatives for the team
- Strategic Planning and Assessment of theDelivery process

ADMINISTRATIVE
- Ensure proper transmittal of documents
- Coordinate meetings with supplier andcanvassers
- Keeping files and records for the purposeof ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with establishedpolicies and regulatory guidelines

COLLABORATION
- Work closely with logistics and supplychain teams to align financial goals with operational objectives
- Collaborate with other departments such asprocurement, vendor, and end-user to ensure holistic financial management
- Close coordination within and outside theorganization for any document requirement and person in charge
- Align with every team member in logisticsthe process and requirement in processing

- Assist on the follow up of payments-relateddocuments

- Ensure team projects and deliverables arecompleted on time
- Plan, organize, direct, manage, andevaluate the import logistics activities of the team being handled
- Construct strategies and initiatives thatare aligned with the overall direction of the department for the team beinghandled
- Provide assistance to inquiries,complaints, and requests regarding to import activities
- Supports and explains reasoning fordecisions when appropriate
- Sets clear work unit policies andprocedures
- Manages workflow and adjust when necessary

Technical Competencies and Skills
- Able to train, mentor and impart skills to subordinates
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Negotiate contracts with logistics suppliers

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required
Graduate of any 4-year degree business courses, supply chain, Preferably a Licensed Customs Broker
