Job description

The Logistics Assistant responsible for the needed assistance, relief and support of all import and export transactions including but not limited to; coordination with procurement on import purchases, shipping arrangement, shipment monitoring, and coordination with third parties in the clearance and delivery of shipment to its intended end users.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist the Logistics Supervisor in coordinating with vendors, operations teams, and department heads to ensure the timely resolution of concerns and the efficient execution of logistics processes.
  • Assist the Logistics Supervisor to ensure records are restricted, complete and stored properly to facilitate easy access to reference, comply with administrative and legal requirements, and avoid financial or data loss.
  • Support and Collaborate with the Logistics Supervisor in Creating controls, policies, and procedures for the efficient and effective performance of department processes and to ensure controls are in place and practiced strictly at all times without fail.
  • Monitor shipments from origin to destination and ensure to achieve the target delivery time while observing the most minimal and optimum cost at all times without discounting speed, efficiency, and safety delivery of shipments.
  • Raise concerns to the Logistics Supervisor and recommends cost-efficient resolution for any delays encountered in the processing of each transaction to prevent financial losses and unfavorable operational consequences.
  • Ensure timely submission of documentary requirements, monitor submission deadlines, and act as the official representative of the Company to the Bureau of Customs and to other import regulatory agencies to comply with the local laws and regulation related to imports and exports.
  • Review billings and confirm the validity of charges and prepare and monitor payment requests related to import/export transactions to sustain fair business transactions with the Companys business partners.
  • Maintain a systematic and well-organized filing system for documentations related to import/export transactions to ensure completeness of records and to provide easy access for reference.
  • Consistently conduct studies and research on Bureau of Customs and International Trades memorandum and updates.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Customs Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferably a Licensed Customs Broker.
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Strong knowledge of customs documentation, customs clearance procedures, and freight forwarding operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
