Job summary

Fibercom Telecom Phils., Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to install, secure and deploy Linux servers and Windows applications. You will provide technical support to staff, optimize system performance and reliability, and lead regular backups of all critical IT assets.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud/on-prem deployments, and starts ASAP in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in system administration and support, incl. servers and user assistance.
• Strong Linux scripting and configuration skills.
• Certifications in Linux admin, networking, and virtualization.
• Experience deploying Odoo and Nextcloud on premises and in cloud.
• Experience backing up Linux systems using automated scripts.

Responsibilities

Job description

Qualifications:

• At least 3-years’ experience in systems administration and support duties such as running application servers and providing technical support.




• Proven and highly skilled in Linux scripting and configuration is highly considerable.




• Certifications in Linux Administration (CompTIA Linux + or RHCSA), Networks (any vendor or with CompTIA Network A+), Virtualization (VMware or Proxmox is highly considerable.




• Candidates with work experience deploying and administering server hosting Odoo and Nextcloud both on premises and cloud would be highly considered.




• Experience in backing up systems (specifically Linux) using automated scripts and commands.

• Has work experience in application containerization, Kubernetes and OpenShift.




• Can start ASAP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Main responsibility is to install, configure, secure and deploy application server (Linux and Microsoft)

• Respond to support request and provide IT technical assistant to company employees related to the IT systems. Identify and oversee user needs.




• Identify and oversee company needs in enhancing IT system’s performance, security, and reliability.




• Conduct regular backup of servers, computers, and other IT systems.




• Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving with the company’s IT infrastructure, vendors, 3rd party contractors and other support personnel and/or organizations.




• Stays current with technological developments in the information technology. Recommend solution and method that would be beneficial to company’s business operations.
