Job summary

AXS Pte Ltd is seeking a System Administrator to deploy, monitor, and secure IT infrastructure spanning networks, servers, databases, and applications. The role requires hands-on expertise in Linux/Windows, security, and cloud services, with a focus on maintaining high availability and policy compliance.

You will manage user access, backups, and server administration while collaborating with IT Support to ensure seamless integration and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in networking, databases, Microsoft 365, Linux/Unix OS, and networking gear (firewalls, routers, switches).
• Experience managing LAMP stack and Java environment servers.
• Hands-on knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins), scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation, monitoring (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana), and IaC (Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and support of IT infrastructures including networks, VPN, Windows servers, computers, OS, email systems, applications and hardware.
• Perform server administration tasks including user administration, security permissions and backups.
• Ensure security and policy compliance while performing technical tasks.
• Handle emergency or planned information systems administration tasks, maintenance/updates and configuration changes.
• Monitor servers and backups/restore procedures to ensure system and data availability.
• Assist in system integration and hardware/software installation for servers and workstations.
• Perform performance tuning and resource optimization; repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
• Implement and manage server and application security policies, including firewall configurations and antivirus solutions.
• Regularly apply security patches to server environments and respond to vulnerabilities.
• Ensure proper access control and role-based access to sensitive information.
• Collaborate with IT Support to manage identity and access management systems.
• Coordinate with IT Support on network security measures like VPNs and firewalls.
• Work with IT Support to ensure seamless integration between server infrastructure and networking.
• Provide second-tier support for escalated issues and assist in troubleshooting system-related issues for end users.
• Collaborate with other technology teams on broader initiatives.

JobRequirements:
