Job summary

STRATEGICSYNERGY,INC.FRMLY MACROAXIS seeks a skilled System Administrator (Linux) to manage and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure in Metro Manila. The role focuses on ensuring availability, security, performance, and reliability of enterprise servers while supporting critical applications.

The ideal candidate will configure, patch, automate, monitor, and troubleshoot across Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky, or Ubuntu, with experience in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and scripting (Bash, Python).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience administering Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux distros: RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu.
• Experience with server admin, package management, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, SSH, FTP, NFS, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Monitor server performance, availability, and resource utilization.
