The Learning and Development (L&D) Officer for Landers Superstore plays a critical role in enhancing the capabilities and performance of retail employees. This position focuses on the end-to-end management of functional training programs, module development, facilitation, and vendor coordination. The L&D Officer will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with business goals.
Training Program Management: Design, deliver, and assess functional training programs for retail staff, including onboarding, product knowledge, customer service, and operational excellence
Module Development: Create engaging, retail-focused training materials, including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and participant workbooks
Facilitation: Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development
Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party training providers to source and manage external training solutions as needed
Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with SMEs, store managers, and HR to identify training needs and ensure program relevance
Training Assessment: Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and ongoing performance metrics
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on retail industry trends and best practices to continuously improve training content and delivery methods
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
3-4 years of experience in Learning and Development, preferably in a retail environment
Strong instructional design skills with experience in module creation
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in e-learning tools (e.g., Canva, Capcut, Adobe Premier Pro, Vyond) is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for employee development
Proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills
High level of creativity and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
