Newport World Resorts seeks a Talent Development Manager to lead training strategies that drive employee growth and leadership progression. You will design programs, oversee coaching, and manage learning technologies to align with organizational goals.
In collaboration with the Senior Manager, you will evaluate impact, run supervisor-to-senior workshops, and ensure standardized materials across departments, supporting business success.
The Talent Development Manager is responsible for the execution and management of training strategies that support employee growth and leadership development. They design and implement training programs, oversee coaching and mentoring initiatives, and manage learning technologies. They work closely with the Senior Manager to ensure learning strategies are aligned with organizational goals and evaluate the impact of these programs on employee and business performance. Also in charge of handling workshops and training dedicated for supervisory to senior manager.
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of learning programs.
Track training completion rates, effectiveness to check learner engagement.
Collaborate with department heads to tailor learning solutions for different teams to ensure to address skill gaps and be able to meet business needs and employee development goals.
Do coaching sessions for employees that are in need of interventions or those who failed career advancement examinations.
Develop high-quality training materials, including facilitator-led and e-learning content that would be beneficial for the targeted learners.
Ensure training materials are regularly updated to reflect industry trends to ensure compliance.
Design interactive learning experiences using various multimedia formats to encourage participation and to cover all different learning styles..
Standardize training documentation and course materials across departments to avoid multiple formats and ensure branding standards of ONE NWR.
Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance that address skill gaps of employees.
Implement leadership training programs to support career progression.
Identify high-potential employees and enroll them in development programs.
Facilitate coaching and mentoring initiatives for future leaders.
Align leadership training with business succession planning needs.
Track leadership program effectiveness through performance assessments.
Conduct training sessions for Senior Managers to rank & file participants.
Monitor training expenses and optimize resource allocation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly reports and track budget utilization.
Work with vendors and negotiate cost-effective training solutions.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining program quality.
Support in securing funding for specialized training programs.
Supervise LMS functionality and course content management.
Track employee learning progress and generate performance reports.
Ensure accurate documentation of all training programs and records.
Conduct system audits and recommend improvements.
Support employee onboarding by integrating LMS training modules.
Performance Management: Come up with strategies that will help direct reports achieve their performance goals, and drive high performance. This also includes conducting performance planning, goal setting, and evaluations.
Coaching and Mentoring: Provides guidance to direct reports in performing their areas of responsibility, and supports their growth and development.
Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives and provide a work environment that will promote employee engagement and high commitment to the company.
Graduate of a Bachelor's degree major in Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Hospitality, Tourism, or other related fields of discipline.
Minimum 2 years of leadership or managerial experience in training and development.
At least 5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or talent management.
Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
Experience in managing training programs and leadership development initiatives.
Budget planning and cost management for training programs.
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Able to interpret and visualize large chunks of data.
Confident in speaking with different levels within the organization.
Ability to manage a team and coordinate with multiple departments.
Must be proficient in other softwares and AI tools like Canva, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grammarly, Perplexity AI, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Familiarity with the usage of LMS & ERP is an advantage.
Knowledge of LMS administration and e-learning content development.
