Job summary

Jacobs Projects Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex power generation projects, including simple cycle and combined cycle plants in the Metro Manila region.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, serve as the technical authority for power systems and substations, and ensure delivery aligns with NEC, IEEE, IEC and Philippine Electrical Code standards across FEED and detailed engineering phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading the design of simple cycle and/or combined cycle power generation projects.
• Extensive experience across concept design, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and delivery of power generation projects, including simple cycle and combined cycle power plants.
• Act as the technical authority for power systems, electrical equipment, and substation design.
• Develop and review electrical specifications for switchgear, transformers, generators, motor control centers, drives, motors, substations, and cable systems.
• Oversee the preparation of key engineering deliverables such as SLDs, protection philosophies, wiring diagrams, layouts, and design basis reports.
• Lead power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, transient studies, and BESS sizing assessments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements, including NEC, IEEE, IEC, and other international standards.
• Provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and approval of electrical engineering deliverables.
• Support multidisciplinary coordination, client engagement, proposals, and project execution activities.
• Mentor and develop engineers while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement across the Electrical discipline.
