Job summary

Jacobs Projects (Philippines), INC. is seeking a Principal Engineer - Electrical & Controls to lead the design and delivery of EICA systems on complex projects. You will act as the technical authority and guide multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, support procurement, construction and commissioning, and contribute to proposals with innovative solutions. This leadership role emphasizes safety, standards compliance, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Senior, Lead or Principal Engineer in Electrical and Controls design.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution (MV/LV), instrumentation, PLC/DCS/SCADA, protection studies, and industrial automation.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) systems.
• Act as the technical authority for electrical and controls engineering.
• Develop and review power distribution designs, protection studies, instrumentation, and PLC/SCADA/DCS architectures.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements, standards, quality and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global teams to meet objectives, schedules and budgets.
• Support reviews, risk assessments, value engineering and design optimization.
• Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Mentor and develop engineers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
