Job summary

JACOBS PROJECTS (PHILIPPINES), INC. is seeking a Principal Engineer, Power Plant, Fuels & Gas.

You will act as the technical authority for fuel and gas systems across thermal power, industrial energy, and transition projects, guiding strategy and leading multidisciplinary delivery worldwide. You will mentor engineers, review complex deliverables, and engage clients on energy transition pathways, regulatory compliance, and future-fuel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Experience leading fuel and gas system engineering for thermal power projects through concept, FEED, and detailed design.
• Deep knowledge of gas receiving, pressure reduction, transmission, fuel storage and handling, combustion, and emissions.
• Experience in power generation and energy transition technologies.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, NFPA, IEC, ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead specialist and technical authority for power plant fuel and gas systems.
• Provide strategic guidance on fuel selection, infrastructure, security, and long-term supply planning.
• Lead technical delivery across feasibility studies, concept development, FEED, detailed design, commissioning, and operation support.
• Support thermal generation, combined-cycle, peaking plant, and industrial energy projects.
• Provide SME in natural gas, LNG, LPG, diesel, fuel oil, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, biofuels, synthetic fuels, and blends.
• Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and safety in design workshops.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, studies, specs, and vendor documents.
• Provide technical leadership during procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Advise clients on energy transitions, fuel flexibility, and future-fuel readiness.
• Mentor engineers and build Jacobs' fuels/thermal capability.
• Support proposal prep, business development, and client relationships.
