Job summary

Bluewater Resorts is seeking a Corporate Learning & Development Manager to design, implement, and evaluate learning programs across Bluewater Resorts and Almont Resorts. The role ensures staff at all levels gain the knowledge and skills needed to deliver guest service excellence and meet business goals.

You will lead training design, materials creation, onboarding, leadership development, and program measurement, with occasional travel to Bluewater and Almont properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, education or related field.
• 3–5 years in learning & development or HR, preferably hospitality.
• Strong design, facilitation and adult learning knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel to resort properties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate-wide L&D strategies, programs, and initiatives.
• Conduct training needs assessments and identify competency and development gaps.
• Design and facilitate training programs for all levels, including leadership, supervisory, and rank-and-file employees.
• Develop training materials, modules, presentations, and learning resources.
• Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee development programs.
• Establish and monitor training calendars, attendance, completion, and effectiveness.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on results and business needs.
• Partner with HR and property leaders to identify talent development and succession planning needs.
• Develop leadership development, coaching, mentoring, and career development programs.
• Ensure consistency of learning standards and practices across all properties.
• Monitor training budgets and ensure resources are used effectively.
• Maintain accurate training records and prepare regular L&D reports and presentations for management.
• Coordinate with external training providers, consultants, schools, and industry partners when necessary.
• Conduct property visits and training sessions as needed, with occasional travel to Bluewater and Almont properties.
• Perform other duties and L&D initiatives as assigned by management.
