Job description

• Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
• Cook or assemble menu items under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (e.g., slicers, ovens, grills, fryers).
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools, and ensure they are stored properly.
• Monitor food stock levels and report shortages or spoilage to the kitchen manager.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Dispose of waste properly and keep kitchen waste areas clean.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure efficient service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
