Job Description
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing food items according to recipes, including chopping vegetables, prepping meats, and assembling ingredients. Maintain proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety.
- Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances to prepare menu items to specification.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work surfaces, and floors. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
- Stock Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure efficient workflow.
- Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef, such as assisting with food preparation for catering events or special orders.
Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Food Handler's permit or willingness to obtain one (depending on local regulations).
