Position Title: Kitchen Staff

I. JOB SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Staff assists in the preparation, cooking, and cleanup processes in the kitchen. You’ll support the cooks and chefs, maintain cleanliness, handle ingredients, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. This role is essential for keeping service efficient and safe.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food Preparation Support
- Assist in washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
- Help cooks with basic cooking tasks as instructed.
- Follow portioning, plating, and recipe guidelines when needed.
Kitchen Hygiene & Cleaning
- Keep workstations, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain overall kitchen sanitation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, surfaces, and floors as required.
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor ingredient stocks and inform the supervisor when items are low.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food to prevent spoilage.
Support & Teamwork
- Assist in preparing bulk orders or catering requests.
- Help other kitchen staff or stations during busy hours.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and support the kitchen team.
Other Responsibilities
- Attend training sessions and staff briefings.
- Adhere to all company policies and the Employee Code of Conduct.
- Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.
III. Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to work under pressure and maintain focus.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
IV. Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service setting is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
