Job summary

Brainbox is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to support the finance team with transactions, billing, reconciliations, and reporting. The role is onsite at our Pampanga office in the Philippines, with training and development opportunities.

Experience with Xero, Dext, and JuanTax is highly valued, along with knowledge of PH benefits and payroll processing. You will assist with month-end closings, audits, and cross-functional finance tasks while collaborating with internal departments

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance-related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Xero, Dext, and JuanTax is highly desirable.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Knowledge of Philippine-based financial principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with PH government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG).
• Understanding of Australian financial regulations, awards, and tax compliance is preferred.
• Perform bank and financial record reconciliations, ensuring transactions and supporting documentation are accurate and complete.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, preparation of financial reports and summaries, and other required documentation.
• Assist with audits by preparing supporting financial records, responding to queries, and presenting or explaining relevant financial information and processes to auditors, apprentices, attorneys, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.
• Provide general finance support, including data entry, transaction processing, and other administrative finance tasks.
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate accurate and timely financial transactions and resolve finance-related queries.
