Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on litigation matters and prepare memoranda for supervising attorneys.
• Draft and review legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence for clients and the court.
• Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including evidence organisation, witness preparation and document management.
• Maintain and organise case files and legal documentation in compliance with office procedures and legal requirements.
• Attend court hearings and client meetings to support senior lawyers and gather relevant case information.
• Assist with the drafting of settlement agreements and other dispute resolution documentation.
• Conduct factual investigations and interview clients and witnesses as required.
• Provide administrative support to the litigation team, including managing deadlines and court filings.
• Keep abreast of developments in litigation law and share updates with the team.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in legal documentation and case management software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and court personnel
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning in litigation practice
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and under the supervision of senior attorneys
• Preferred: Prior internship or practical experience in a law firm or legal department, particularly in litigation or dispute resolution
