Job summary

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking an Investment Services Officer to support day-to-day account onboarding and offshore client operations, coordinating with custodians and the Serviced Entity for efficient pre-settlement processing.

The role requires a Finance/Business background with 3–4 years in investment or banking operations, and a strong understanding of onboarding, AML screening, and settlement workflows within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a similar field.
• 3–4 years of experience in investment operations or banking operations.
• Macro-level understanding of the overall process.

Responsibilities

• Checks preparation and delivery of onboarding and servicing documents.
• Reviews completeness and quality of onboarding documents.
• Reviews AML screening and customer risk assessment pre-checks.
• Confirms Customer Risk Profiling Questionnaire via recorded calls.
• Facilitates account opening and maintenance.
• Performs periodic reviews of accounts and AML screening.
• Reconfirms Client Risk Profiling.
• Re-submits W8 forms when applicable.
• Ensures original documents are transmitted to the Serviced Entity.
• Liaises between BPI and the Serviced Entity.
• Reviews client instruction per BPI IFL policies and regulations.
• Oversees booking, balancing, and payment processing for trades, placements, and fees.
• Ensures proper execution of trade and non-trade instructions within policies and rules.
• Liaises between Portfolio Relationship Management, Traders, and Operations for settlements troubleshooting.
• Monitors and reconciles transaction settlements for all orders.
• Coordinates trade/non-trade transactions with counterparties and custodians.
• Consolidates primary issuance orders.
• Checks and approves documentary requirements for trade/non-trade activities.
• Approves requests via Electronic Approval Channels.
• Endorses client bookkeeping entries in Investone or Avaloq.
• Coordinates with Portfolio Relationship Management and Operations for corporate actions.
• Acts as point of contact to Brokers and Counterparties for trade requirements.
• Provides requests from counterparties in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assists in custodianship accounts establishment and maintenance.
• Formulates and implements procedures for efficiency and risk reduction.
• Proposes automation of processes to improve capacity and quality.
• Ensures business continuity management is applied.
• Ensures training and career development of supervised personnel.
• Provides timely assistance to queries from clients and counterparties.
• Reviews and sends reports to aid transaction monitoring and reconciliation.
• Acts as System administrator of internal databases and group distribution lists.
