Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to oversee raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventories. The role ensures accuracy of records, proper storage, and timely stock availability for production. Emphasis on FIFO/FEFO, GMP compliance, and reporting discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of supervisory experience in inventory management, preferably in food manufacturing, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee the inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing stocks are properly recorded.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stocks, damaged, expired, or near-expiry items.
• Conduct and supervise regular physical inventory counts.
• Compare physical inventory with inventory records and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Production regarding availability and issuance of raw materials and finished goods.

Job description

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and controlling the inventory of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, finished goods, and other company supplies. The position ensures the accuracy of inventory records, proper storage and handling of materials, timely availability of stocks for production, and compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and inventory control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Monitoring Control

• Monitor and oversee the inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.

• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing stocks are properly recorded.

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stocks, damaged, expired, or near-expiry items.

2. Inventory Counting and Reconciliation

• Conduct and supervise regular physical inventory counts.

• Compare physical inventory with inventory records.

• Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and variances.

3. Raw Materials and Finished Goods Monitoring

• Coordinate with the Production Department regarding the availability and issuance of raw materials.

• Monitor the receipt and storage of finished goods from production.

• Monitor the release and movement of finished goods.

4. Storage and Stock Rotation

• Ensure that stocks are properly stored, organized, and handled.

• Ensure proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) method, as applicable.

• Coordinate with the QA Department regarding the proper disposition of non-conforming materials and products.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Ensure that inventory-related documents and records are complete and accurate.

• Prepare and submit inventory reports as required.

• Report significant inventory concerns and discrepancies to the immediate superior.

6. Supervision and Coordination

• Supervise inventory personnel and ensure the proper performance of their duties.

• Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, QA, and other concerned departments regarding inventory-related concerns.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Experience:

• At least 1–3 years of supervisory experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field. Experience in food manufacturing is an advantage.

Skills:

• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, GMP, and proper storage procedures.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
