Job summary

MicroSourcing, based in the Philippines, is hiring an Inventory Accountant for onsite night shift at MOA Complex, Pasay City. You will maintain accurate stock records, track FIFO, perform counts, and reconcile accounts to the GL.

Responsibilities include processing inventory transactions, preparing month-end listings, and coordinating with warehouse teams to improve processes. This role offers competitive rewards and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directly related experience in inventory accounting, warehousing, or logistics.
• Experience with inventory management software and Oracle material transactions.
• Strong Excel proficiency and high data entry accuracy.
• Solid understanding of FIFO valuation, ABC analysis, and stock level calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels under FIFO, and identify obsolete inventory through aging reports.
• Coordinate periodic physical counts, stock takes, and cycle counts; reconcile to subledger and GL balances.
• Process inventory transactions, enter work orders, and raise purchase orders for warehouse flow.
• Prepare detailed month-end inventory listings; tie subledgers to the general ledger and book Gross Profit in Inventory (GPI).
• Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams to implement inventory control best practices.

Your Role:

As an Inventory Accountant, you will:

• Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels under the FIFO method, and identify obsolete inventory through aging reports.

• Coordinate periodic physical counts, stock takes, and regular cycle counts while reconciling physical counts to subledger and general ledger balances.

• Process inventory transactions, enter work orders, and raise purchase orders to support the seamless flow of goods across warehouses.

• Prepare detailed month-end inventory listings, tie subledgers to the general ledger, and book Gross Profit in Inventory (GPI) monthly.

• Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams to implement inventory control best practices and continuous process improvements.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• 3+ years of directly related experience in inventory accounting, warehousing, or logistics.

• Proven experience with inventory management software and executing Oracle material transactions.

• Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel proficiency coupled with high data entry accuracy.

• Solid understanding of inventory control methods, including FIFO valuation, ABC analysis, and stock level calculations.

• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Background working within a Shared Services Accounting and Finance environment.

• Practical exposure to Lean manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory principles.

• Experience utilizing QlikView or similar reporting tools for inventory transaction analysis.

• Demonstrated capability to identify and drive continuous process improvements.

• Willingness and ability to travel to off-site locations for inventory verification when required.
