Job summary

MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking an Accounting & Financial Analysis Specialist to manage daily journal entries, prepare P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in coordination with the US accounting team. You will monitor inventory costing, support budgeting cycles, perform variance analysis, and analyze promotion impact to drive management decisions.

This hybrid, night-shift role requires advanced Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise experience, and proven ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related financial discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience including full-cycle journal entry posting and financial statement preparation.
• Inventory costing experience (weighted average, FIFO, or standard costing) in product-based business.
• FP&A exposure: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Night shift experience supporting US-based operations or clients (required).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dynamic formulas, and financial modeling.
• Hands-on QuickBooks experience (prefer QuickBooks Enterprise) including chart of accounts management and report generation.
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to enhance work quality and validate AI outputs.
• Fluent written and spoken English to draft professional reports and communicate with US stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and self-direct work.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Journal Entries: Post daily, weekly, and month-end journal entries across all accounts.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and reconcile P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with US team.
• Inventory Costing & Analysis: Maintain inventory cost records and flag costing anomalies across warehouses.
• FP&A Support: Build projection models, support budgeting cycles, and analyze variances.
• Marketing Promotion Analysis: Assess revenue lift, incremental costs, and net margin impact for management.
• Cross-System Reconciliation: Reconcile sales/order data between Exigo and QuickBooks; document root cause with corrective entries.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Journal Entries
Post daily, weekly, and month-end journal entries accurately across all accounts including commissions, COGS, and accruals.Financial Statement Preparation
Prepare and reconcile P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in coordination with the US accounting team.

Inventory Costing & Analysis
Maintain and analyze inventory cost records, monitor product-level margins, and flag costing anomalies across all warehouse locations.

FP&A Support
Build and maintain projection models, support budgeting cycles, and provide variance analysis against actuals for management review.

Marketing Promotion Analysis
Analyze the financial impact of promotions - revenue lift - incremental commission cost - net margin contribution - and present findings in management discussions.

Cross-System Reconciliation
Reconcile sales and order data between Exigo and QuickBooks, identify variances, and document root cause with corrective journal entries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related financial discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience including full-cycle journal entry posting and financial statement preparation
• Demonstrated experience in inventory costing - weighted average, FIFO, or standard costing - preferably in a product-based business
• FP&A exposure: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Night shift experience supporting US-based operations or clients - this is a hard requirement, not a preference
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dynamic formulas, and financial modeling
• Hands-on QuickBooks experience - preferably QuickBooks Enterprise - including chart of accounts management and report generation
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to enhance work quality and speed, with ability to validate AI-generated outputs
• Fluent written and spoken English - able to draft professional reports, present findings clearly, and communicate confidently with US-based stakeholders
