Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Financial Accountant in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City. You will manage balance sheet reconciliations, post month-end journal entries, and support audits while coordinating with onshore and offshore teams.

The role requires strong internal controls knowledge and cross-border communication. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, CPA preferred, and experience with ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, Workday, or Dynamics.

Your Role:

As aFinancial Accountant, you will:

• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Financial Control standards.
• Investigate, resolve, and clear reconciling items promptly while maintaining complete audit trails.
• Prepare, post, and document month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close schedules and workflows.
• Assist internal and external audit processes by gathering required schedules, samples, and supporting evidence.
• Identify and elevate accounting risks, unexpected variances, or unusual balance sheet movements to the onshore team.
• Maintain proactive, clear daily communication with onshore accounting stakeholders regarding deliverables and open queries.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation Mastery: Hands-on experience preparing and auditing complex balance sheet reconciliations with zero margin for error.
• Journal Posting & Month-End Close: Direct experience drafting, supporting, and posting GL journal entries (accruals, prepayments, adjustments).
• Audit Trail & Documentation: High attention to detail in assembling audit-ready schedules and supporting workpapers.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Strong written and verbal English communication skills to partner effectively with offshore and onshore financial controllers.
• Financial Controls Understanding: Deep familiarity with internal accounting controls, approval hierarchies, and delegation of authority frameworks.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Practical experience using enterprise ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Workday Finance, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Background working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or offshore accounting model supporting US, UK, or Australian onshore teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
• Experience using automated reconciliation software (e.g., BlackLine, Trintech, or FloQast).
