The Ateneo de Manila University seeks an International Mobility Assistant to serve as a key contact for international participants. The role supports planning, coordinating, and implementing mobility programs for students, faculty, and staff with partner institutions worldwide.
Responsibilities include program support, participant care, budget monitoring, and policy development to ensure smooth inbound and outbound exchanges and a welcoming experience across the university community.
The International Mobility Assistant serves as a key point of contact for international participants. The position shall assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing international mobility programs. It will ensure the seamless exchange process for students, faculty, and staff with partner institutions worldwide and will help create an inclusive and enriching experience for all involved.
I. Program Support
Assists in planning and coordinating inbound and outbound student exchange programs, faculty exchanges, and international staff mobility initiatives
Collaborates with academic departments to ensure various mobility requirements are processed in a timely manner
In coordination with the University's and the UPI’s marketing and communications teams, assists in creating promotional materials and maintain program-related web content to promote the international mobility programs to prospective participants and raise awareness among the University community
In coordination with the other UPI sections, assists in facilitating cross-cultural awareness and intercultural communication workshops
In coordination with the other UPI sections, attends to the logistics for international mobility events, such as orientations, cultural excursions, and farewell ceremonies
II. Student and Participant Support
Serves as a point of contact for international students, faculty, and staff participating in mobility programs, providing pre-arrival and on-site support
Assists with visa applications, housing arrangements, and orientation programs for incoming international students
Assists in the maintenance of accurate records of program participants, applications, and related documentation
III. Administrative Support
Collates the budget requirements for international mobility programs based on actual expenses the previous fiscal year
Monitors expenses vis‑à‑vis budget allocations, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines
Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to international mobility programs
IV. Performs other university‑related duties as may be required by the immediate supervisor and any authorized representatives
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any field; specialization in International Relations, Cultural Studies, Event Management, an advantage
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in in event or project planning and execution
Experience in an academic setting or exposure to international exchange programs is an advantage
