Key Responsibilities
- Provides support to insurance brokers by processing new business, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements across various types of insurance.
- Prepares comparative quotations using existing client information, claims history, and current policy details and presents these to advisers using established templates.
- Ensures all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
- Processes invoices accurately within the system and checks and processes closings and invoices as required.
- Follows up on outstanding debtor accounts and assists with resolving any related queries.
- Maintains accurate and organised electronic filing of client and policy documentation.
- Prepares and issues policy documents, including Certificates of Insurance, policy wordings, COC and other required documentation.
- Prepares and issues monthly renewal documentation and follows up to confirm policies.
- Prepares and sends emails, policy amendments, contracts, and other required documentation to customers.
- Processes daily transactions from banking records and accurately allocates deposits to the appropriate client records.
- Regularly updates the database to ensure current and accurate customer information is maintained.
- Provides administrative support to brokers and assists with various tasks required to
- support the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the client.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in Australian General Insurance.
- Previous experience working with insurance brokers and handling broker-related tasks.
- Experience in lease renewals and/or insurance renewals.
- Experience in email management and professional client communication.
- Experience using insurance-related CRM systems.
- Experience with Winbeat or similar insurance software is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational, time-management, and task-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to work.
- Adaptable, trainable, and able to quickly learn new processes and systems.
- Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
