Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and facility layout optimisation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with data interpretation.
• Proficient with engineering software including CAD or manufacturing simulation tools.
• Strong project management capabilities; ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaboration across levels.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and quality in deliverables.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations; commitment to safety.
• Preference for experience in manufacturing or ISO standards exposure.

Responsibilities

• Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our operational efficiency, streamlining production processes, and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing and business operations. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be at the forefront of enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and implementing innovative solutions that directly impact our company's competitiveness and success in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate production processes, workflows, and manufacturing systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Design and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish performance standards and develop standardised operating procedures
• Monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and track progress against improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure seamless implementation of engineering solutions
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and engineering specifications
• Identify and recommend capital equipment and technology investments to enhance manufacturing capabilities
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues and develop corrective action plans
• Participate in project management activities, including planning, budgeting, and execution of improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Competency in relevant engineering software and tools, including CAD programmes or manufacturing simulation software
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a strong commitment to workplace safety standards
• Preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing industries or exposure to ISO standards and compliance requirements
